Companion Care for the Moments That Matter
Weddings are meaningful, high-energy events, and for many couples, including their pet, is an important part of the day. Scout & Company offers wedding pet attendant services in New Orleans designed to ensure pets are safely cared for, calmly handled, and included in a way that does not add stress for the couple or their guests. This service allows pets to take part in key moments of the celebration while remaining comfortable, supported, and well cared for throughout the event.
Our Approach
Wedding days are fast-paced and often overwhelming for pets. Scout & Company approaches wedding pet care with calm, attentive handling and thoughtful planning to ensure your dog feels safe and supported throughout the day.
Scout & Company takes one wedding at a time, so your dog always has our full, undivided attention. Each wedding is different, and care is tailored to your dog's needs, your timeline, and how you want them included.
What This Service Includes
From the moment we arrive, your dog has one dedicated handler focused entirely on their comfort and care. We provide one-on-one handling throughout the event, supporting your dog during the ceremony, portraits, family photos, and any other key moments you'd like them included in. We coordinate with your planner, photographer, venue, and other vendors to make sure everything runs smoothly, and we provide gentle guidance and transition support throughout the day. During busy or overstimulating moments, we offer calm supervision, along with breaks, water, rest, and quiet time tailored to your dog's needs. Transportation to and from the venue is included when needed, and we ensure your dog is safely returned home or continues in our care following the event.
When This Service Is a Good Fit
This service is ideal for couples who want their dog meaningfully included in their wedding day without asking friends or family members to take on that responsibility. It’s especially well-suited for events with multiple locations or transitions, or for dogs who benefit from dedicated attention and support in a busy and stimulating environment.

As early as possible. Scout & Company is a boutique service — we work one wedding at a time, which means we can only take one booking per date. This ensures your dog receives our complete, undivided attention on your wedding day. Because of this, dates do fill up, and we recommend reaching out as soon as your wedding date is confirmed to ensure availability.

Yes. Many couples choose to add overnight or extended care around their wedding day, whether that means caring for your dog the evening before so you can enjoy your rehearsal dinner stress-free, or keeping them comfortable and cared for while you're celebrating into the night. Pre- and post-wedding care can be arranged as part of a customized package, just let us know what you need during your consultation.

Weddings are busy, high-energy environments, and it's completely normal for dogs to feel overstimulated at times. We have a protocol in place for exactly this. If your dog shows signs of stress or anxiety, we step away from the activity and move to a quieter space where they can decompress, calm down, and feel safe and supported before rejoining the celebration. Your dog's comfort and wellbeing always comes first.
-
Every wedding is different, but a typical day begins with us connecting with your dog well before the ceremony, or in many cases, your dog is already in our care ahead of the event. This allows time to settle in, get comfortable, and establish a calm presence before the excitement begins. From there, we coordinate around your timeline, supporting your dog through key moments like the ceremony and photos, managing transitions between locations, and providing breaks, water, and quiet time as needed. Throughout the day, we stay in close communication with our designated point of contact, whether that's the couple, a planner, or another trusted person, so everything runs smoothly. Our goal is for your dog to feel safe and supported from start to finish, so you can be fully present on your day.
-
Yes. We work alongside your venue and vendor team as needed to make sure your dog's presence is seamlessly integrated into the day. Whether that means confirming logistics with your planner, coordinating timing with your photographer, or communicating with venue staff about pet policies, we make sure everyone is on the same page so nothing falls through the cracks.

If everything looks good, we'll send over a contract and collect a 50% deposit to secure your date. The deposit is non-refundable.
